Hi reneesilva,
It would help immensely if you could provide the full and exact word-for-word error message as there are hundreds of runtime error 339 messages and some have different solutions. Also, when does the error occur (when installing or using what program and version)? Until you do, I'll try to provide some general advice on the error and see if that does the trick knowing what you know about the error.

To fix runtime error 339, you should understand the concept of error 339 and identify the causes of it firstly. What is run-time error 339? This error usually occurs when a required. OCX or DLL file is missing, or not registered on your computer. It is a really common problem for windows users which crashes now and then.
If the file is missing, try to search for it elsewhere on your computer and copy it to C:WindowsSystem32. If not, try to find another computer with the exact same operating system AND service pack, copy the file from that computer to your computer as indicated above, and then proceed.
Since error 339 is related to missing/corrupted .ocx or .dll files, you may be able to re-register the registry list to fix an error 339 issue. For example, if you encounter run-time error 339 at msdatgrd.ocx, to re-register the file, please do this:
1.Go to Start / All Programs / Accessories / and right click on Control Panel and click Run as Administrator.
2.Type in regsvr32 c:windowssystem32msdatgrd.ocx and enter.
3.Close Control panel and any open programs.
4. Re-start your computer.

Do NOT use any Registry Cleaner or Registry Booster or Enhancer, or Repairer or Fixer software (or whatever it calls itself) no matter what it says (scans will tell you have thousands of errors just to get you to download and install the program or worse, buy it) or where you got it (even safe sites sell these products but they are not worth the headaches they can cause). Most do nothing of value and some can do great harm (to the point where you need to do a clean install to fix the problem – and that’s not even counting the fact that many such programs are actually malware in disguise).Vista keeps the registry clean on its own quite well and doesn’t need any help.

If you are getting the error when you start your computer, try a clean boot http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135. If the problem goes away then it's just a matter of tracking down the culprit causing the problem. Follow the procedures in the article. Once found, delete, remove, deactivate, or uninstall it (or fix it). Once done be sure to reset Vista back to normal status as explained in the procedures. If the problem occurs in clean mode then just restore the system to normal status and reboot - this solution is not going to work.
Boot into Safe mode with networking and see if the problem occurs there. Either result helps us narrow down the search for the cause.

***********************************************Do you know when this problem began? Try a System Restore to a point in time BEFORE the problem began. Here's the procedure: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/76905-system-restore-how.html. Be sure to check the box to show more than 5 days of restore points. If the first attempt fails, then try an earlier point or two. NOTE: You will have to re-install any software and updates you installed and uninstall any software you removed between now and the restore point, but you can use Windows Update for the updates.

I hope this helps. If not, please provide the additional information requested in the first paragraph as well as details on what happened or didn't happen when you tried the various solutions.
Good luck!
